The Directorate of Kerala State Lotteries' claim protocol for prize winnings, tax deductions and ticket security. Rules apply equally to the seven weekly schemes and to bumper draws.
Step 01: Secure your ticket
Write your full legal name, permanent address and signature on the reverse of the original ticket. Never tamper with, staple or fold the barcode region, and check both the two-letter series code and the six-digit number against the official LOTIS gazette.
A pristine original ticket is required.
Step 02: Prizes under ₹1,00,000
Prize amounts up to ₹1,00,000 can be encashed through any licensed Kerala lottery retailer or through a District Lottery Office. Retailers deduct their statutory commission and pay the remaining prize amount immediately.

Step 03: Prizes above ₹1,00,000
For higher tiers, submit the original winning ticket with a completed claim application, a self-attested PAN card, Aadhaar card, two passport photographs and a cancelled bank cheque to the Directorate of Kerala State Lotteries in Thiruvananthapuram, or through an authorised bank.

Rule 04: Taxes and deadlines
Prize winnings attract tax deducted at source, and any agent commission is also deducted before the amount is credited. Claims must be submitted within the statutory window from the draw date; unclaimed amounts lapse.
